    Perhaps no form of communication today is more vital for spreading big ideas than public speaking. That’s why The Seminar Network is seeking a Creative Script Writer for major presentations and speeches that feature our network of inspiring social change entrepreneurs. The Writer would join our program team that produces exclusive events for hundreds of the country’s top business and philanthropic leaders seeking to help people improve their lives. These events are of the highest production value, combining insightful talks with engaging visuals and powerful videos, to create a storytelling experience that many attendees say is one-of-a-kind and even life-changing. This is a high-impact role as participants of these events not only gain new ideas and insights from the program, they are motivated to take action – committing their time, talents, and resources to hundreds of causes that are making a meaningful difference in millions of people’s lives.

    Responsibilities

    • Write scripts for TED talk-style talks to hundreds of the nation’s top business leaders, philanthropists, and social entrepreneurs
    • Help inform the visuals and videos to accompany the talks to create a powerful storytelling experience
    • Lead rehearsals with presenters to strengthen the delivery of their talks
    • Develop written prep materials and take-home materials to supplement the big ideas and stories featured in the talks
    • Assist in the development of events’ overall narrative and program, including making speaker recommendations
    • Help facilitators develop talking points and a roadmap for engaging, small-group roundtable discussions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or advertising, or equivalent experience required
    • 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
    • An ability to translate complex ideas and strategies into effective written and verbal communications
    • A deep desire for helping people improve their lives and creating a better society for all
    • A passion for learning, including studying the most effective writing, communications, and marketing techniques
    • An ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently, and exercise sound professional judgment
    • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Commitment to high quality work, confidentiality, and customer satisfaction
