The Seminar Network seeks an Associate Director, Special Gifts to help drive strategic growth and fundraising outcomes of its special gifts team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to significantly expand the Seminar Network’s special gifts donor portfolio and resulting fundraising outcomes to support the growth of allied organizations.
  • Help oversee a team of development officers, including operationalizing goals and metrics, providing fundraising coaching, and driving professional development. Make recommendations and drive the growth of the team based on identified opportunities.
  • Build, cultivate, and grow a portfolio of long-term relationships utilizing “Moves Management” techniques.
  • Assist with major donor events and national events as needed.
  • Drive continued adoption of Salesforce as the team’s CRM platform, using it to generate actionable reports on the fundraising pipeline and special gift officer performance.
  • Work with Development Associate to systematically gather and track donor data.
  • Connect donors with Network donor communications, event invitations, and engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of work experience required.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a professional environment required.
  • Extensive experience in fundraising working directly with donors required; familiarity with Moves Management preferred.
  • Experience leading teams, including building an entrepreneurial team culture, setting goals and metrics, developing employees, and driving strategic growth.
  • A passion and commitment to free-market principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Track record of humility, integrity, respect, and an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude.
