Corporate and Foundation Relations Associate

Under the supervision of their manager, the Associate will provide broad support to the Corporate and Foundation Relations team as they plan, coordinate and execute grants, and cultivate relationships with prospects and supporters. Tasks will range from operations and grant coordination to supporting the team on administrative tasks including database and contact maintenance.

The associate will work with Corporate and Foundations Relations team on the following:

  • Grants coordination: The associate will help the grants manager with the grants submission process including finding deadlines, finding out the appropriate submission approach, helping manage the grants calendar, and gathering necessary financial and other accessory documents necessary for submission.
  • Salesforce coordination: The associate will be responsible for the foundations team's Salesforce administration and the "go to" team member for all things Salesforce, ensuring all information on foundations and corporate accounts are complete, up to date, and available (including their ownership, their addresses, their board of director’s information, the pipeline dashboards, etc.). They will also serve as a knowledge base for foundation accounts, able to pull reports and answer questions about accounts for their managers--particularly for meeting preparation.
  • Communications coordination: The associate will help with donor communications, including helping the Grants Manager with gathering information for annual reports, one-off reports, and any other donor communications that arise throughout the year—as well as assisting with the coordination and sending process.
  • Meeting coordination: The associate will work with account managers to assist in setting up donor meetings as well as internal meetings, if necessary.
  • Research coordination: The associate will work--at times in coordination with the TSN research team--to find aligned foundations with the assets to contribute to the Network's 501(c)(3) programs. Additionally, they will create materials such as bios of foundations and their board members prior to meetings or as needed. They will also be responsible for entering and maintaining this information in Salesforce.


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Articulate and convey a sense of passion for the mission of the Seminar Network
  • A proactive, highly organized, detail oriented and enthusiastic administrative professional with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience and proven ability to multi-task while handling complex projects in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and respond promptly to internal and external communications
  • Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve issues
  • Motivated self-starter and hard worker displaying high productivity and follow-through in all areas of responsibility
  • Team-oriented individual who seeks out tasks when work is completed and assists colleagues to ensure goals, requirements and deadlines are achieved
  • An attitude of "no job is too small" and an attention to detail that ensures rewarding experiences and outcomes for supporters and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work with people and interact positively with all levels of an organization, including desire and ability to support multiple team members
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Salesforce is a plus
